SAORImôr Studio
My studio has an inviting, creative atmosphere full of light and colour. I have 6 SAORI looms set up ready for you to weave. No previous experience is necessary. Come whenever it suits you, meet other people, share your ideas and learn from each other. All ages and abilities welcome.
As well as regular classes (details below) I also run one off workshops that cover different aspects of Saori: see upcoming workshops.

Taster Class
2 hour class
Enjoy a wonderful Introduction to SAORI Freestyle Hand Weaving, use a SAORI loom and take your weaving home. The results are immediate & inspiring. In just a few minutes you will see your work grow & the finished piece will become a treasure whether it is hung on the wall, used in an item of clothing or made into a gift for someone special.

Basic
Basic SAORI Course
6 x 2 hours.

The courses are tailored to each person so you are able to follow your own SAORI journey and learn what you need.
Immerse yourself in the SAORI experience and weave freely in your own way using your full creative capacity. Become familiar with the SAORI looms & weaving techniques to achieve exciting results with colour and texture. Understand what is meant by Misao Jo’s message.

Intermediate
Intermediate SAORI Course

- Make a warp and dress the loom

Self Practice
Book day or half day self practice sessions
This allows you to carry on with your own weaving without the need for instruction.
- Free use of all the SAORI equipment including the special tabletop warping accessories
- An extensive range of yarns, colours and textures. Only pay for what you use
- Sharing with others. ’Inspire one another and everyone in the group’
- Support available at all times

Full day £50
Booking is essential, Tuesdays and Wednesdays preferred but other options may be possible. Contact me.
Materials are available at 10p per gram for regular yarns and 15p per gram for special yarns.
Tea and coffee is available at a ‘pay as you feel’ rate.
How to Book
Book a 2 hour class
If the times and dates are not suitable for you please contact me so that we can discuss alternatives. Book 6 classes to receive a 20% discount.
Book a full day class
If you would like to spend a full day weaving book both morning and afternoon sessions and have access to the studio from 10.00-4.00.
Book a course
Please contact me for an invoice for the course payment. You will then receive a 100% discount code to apply when booking each 2 hour session. This gives you the freedom to do the 6 sessions with dates and times to suit you.
For all other special classes and workshops, such as clothing or warping, please contact me to arrange. I will add more classes as we all settle into the new routines.
